A disposable absorbent article comprising a front waist region, a rear waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the front waist region and the rear waist region, wherein the absorbent article further comprises a first, a second, a third, and a fourth discrete, unlike element disposed on one or more of the regions, each of the four discrete, unlike elements comprising a wearer-facing surface and a garment-facing surface oriented opposite the wearer-facing surface, each of the wearer-facing surfaces of the first and the second discrete, unlike elements comprising an internally visible surface when viewing the wearer-facing surface while the absorbent article is stretched such that the absorbent article is substantially planar, and each of the garment-facing surfaces of the third and the fourth discrete, unlike elements comprising an externally visible surface when viewing the garment-facing surface while the absorbent article is fitted to a wearer, and wherein each externally visible surface and each internally visible surface comprises an imparted color, and wherein the imparted colors of the four discrete, unlike elements are within a CIELab color space volume of less than about 190.
